I am a senior IT business analyst at Home Credit Indonesia, in Jakarta, working on consumer lending products — cash loans, Paylater and point-of-sale financing. I carry five to seven projects in a quarter, most of them compliance-critical, across five or more teams that do not report to me. Before this I managed product at KB Finansia Multi Finance, on the Kreditplus app, and before that at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The job, stripped of its title, is this: business teams know what they want in their own language, engineering teams know what they can build in theirs, and somebody has to hold both at once until the thing that ships is the thing that was meant. That is what I do, and it is what I intend to keep studying.
